As is usual with the run up to an office or systems relocation, one of the things that really focusses the attention is the anticipated arrival of the packing materials and crates etc. I had to arrange short term storage for the crates etc., as a task on the plan and when doing so the expressions on some of the faces at the meeting were worthy of a photograph at the very least. I have refrained from this and substituted a generic, the expression in this photograph is close enough to be an overall average expression. Ensuring that these things go smoothly is more a matter of providing guidance, although the odd shove is sometimes required as well – just as a gentle reminder.
So the crates and packing materials are expected on the 18th so in just a couple of days, once they are here the fun will start – as usual I have ordered a number of extra crates. And as usual I’m wondering just how much people will find that wasn’t covered by the original discovery, but heigh ho – that’s the way it is with this job.
