So the crate arrived back from Taipei, it had a great trip – the three airlines used to transport it back being Dragonair, Cathay Pacific and Lufthansa. It arrived back this morning at 08:20, just as I got to the office. But alas, the delivery was a failure as there was no forklift truck available and there wasn’t a tail lift truck available either. Due to it’s weight being 200Kg I wasn’t for lifting it off the truck either, although it was suggested! Now it was a pre-requisite of the outward shipment that a tail lift truck was required and it was the same shippers that were used to return it, but there was no mention of the requirement to the guy who tried to deliver it to us.
So there will be an other attempt tomorrow, how will it fare – not sure is my answer. I’ll probably be in a position to give an update when I get home tomorrow evening, now I’ll have to think about getting a packing team in to re-pack the PC’s and to re-ship them to Taipei. If we are going to get these units back to the plant in Taiwan it’s going to have to be a bit better organised than the last time, so I’d suggest that we use the people in the picture as the management team – they’ll probably do a better job when it comes down to it.
