He's Blown it now!

Well tonight I got the best possible news, my mate Leroy has tied the knot – on the 14th of February the romantic old (I can say that!) sodd, I personally think that it is brilliant news, but I’m sure that the (People Reasonably Associated Through Things or Systems that I work on!) “pratts”  will have an other point of view. Well on this set of circumstances I can honestly say sodd the lot of you, I for one hope that every thing goes as well as it possibly can for Leroy and the new Mrs Leroy.

I had a long conversation with Leroy tonight, the highlight was just how impressed he was with http://maps.nokia.com/3d – actually only kidding it was his news. Oh and did I forget to say that he had got married to Sandy – brilliant that’s what I say. Still here we are I’m working for the same company ten years further on, after the last year where we have moved everything to Europe – now it has been mooted that it might be a bit expensive to keep it all there and maybe we should be prepared to move it all back at some point in the future – only kidding – I don’t think that that will happen. But have this feeling that it would be a great laugh if it did!

In order to keep things going we have brought on an other contractor, this guy is a real class act and will really put the cat amongst the flying rats. I’m sure that some of the stuff that he will have done is so far in advance of what is being done, that the problem will be pulling in the reins and keeping an objective view. Don’t take my word for it, he has worked for Sun for 20 years and was part of the kernel team. Still he has gone into the contracting world now and will have to curb his expectations for a short while.

Still in order to end the post on a high – which I think it deserves, I’d like to take the opportunity to wish my mate Leroy and his ne Wife Sandy all the best and point out that if they don’t come visit next time there will be real problems. Only kidding (well mostly)!
