Isn’t this the coolest invention, the second I saw I new that I needed one. I’ve had a look on Amazon but no luck as yet, I’ll definitely be getting one though. Just think of how much time this would save your average systems administrator, just the job for the time pressed – although there’s no doubt going to be some Health and Safety issue that I’m unaware of. This is just such a classy device, if it had a cup holder it would be damn near perfect – it is like the systems admins equivalent of a Cadillac. So later I’ll be finding out where to get one, possibly two as my son will just love it as well. Being a teenager, Pizza is a major part of his diet – apparently the tomatoes count as one of his five a day.
On a more sombre note, I’ve been invited to take myself of to Glasgow for an interview later this week. So I have a few things to bone up on, but nothing too major from what I understand. It seems like my tomorrow is now sorted out as I’ll be travelling and then doing some reading, in order to at least have made the effort for the interview. Although I’ve had a brief chat with someone at the company he was not really a techie, his explanation of the type of clustering that was used seemed a bit strange to me.
As to the other stuff mentioned, there was nothing out of the ordinary. The versions of RHEL were 4 and 5 so a bit out of date, but perfectly serviceable nonetheless. There is some Solaris, but no clue as to what the version is and some HPUX again no clue as to the version. There were some other pieces of software that I’ll have to try and get up to speed with, but that shouldn’t be too much of a problem. I have to brush up on NetApp storage and VMWare Cluster, so I’m not sure what I’m going to do in the evening.
So that’s it then, I may actually have to do some work soon – I’d better look as if I know what I’m talking about.
