Well here we are at the end of a major project and the end of the year, last week we had our annual Christmas – no expenses spared blow out. The last couple of system moves required to complete the move to Europe failed, but again the person who should have been the responsible person, was nowhere to be seen. And what a day to remember it was, the restaurant had no record of our booking – but did fit us in (just as well I didn’t buy a lottery ticket that day). Once we were seated and after ordering the food some WEEKS before, we found out that they didn’t have enough of the starters – off to a great start then!
Still after some minor adjustments all went mostly as planned, other than the fact that we were sitting at two separate tables and the Airline chefs all have Micheline stars when compared to these guys. Well that’s the moan over as far as the Christmas party goes (except to say that I have never eaten a tenderised disk brake before), all I have to moan about now is work! How should I moan about work, well the best thing to say is that it’s business as usual or not as the case may be.
I will be going home in a few days and I really feel that I need the break, although I’m sure that being at home will be quite hectic it will be easier on the blood pressure than being in the office. So in preparation tomorrow will be a day in the office as will Sunday, where I’ll be learning about the tricky stuff that revolves around AWK. And I’ll be looking to avoid any other Christmas parties where I’ll be in a foul mood and making scrooge look like Mother Teresa, in conclusion I’d say that “Tis the Season to be Jolly, Ho! Ho! £+({ing Ho!.
