Sometimes you have days where you don’t actually achieve anything, well for me today was one of those days. Oh, I did the usual answer emails and check things out – but didn’t seem to actually accomplish anything. So at lunch time I thought “A serious Sugar Hit is now required”, with this in mind I headed to the shops and equipped myself with a 500g bag of Jelly Babies in preparation for the afternoon! Armed with my Jelly Babies I headed back to the desk and started on the much anticipated feast, as usual I had over estimated my sugar requirement. Having a surplus of said Jelly Babies, I tried to fob them off on other members of the team – managed to shift about half a dozen or so with that effort. So a bit crestfallen with my efforts I decided that there must be no end of alternative uses for Jelly Babies, suddenly it came to me – I could build a stonehenge replica. How brilliant would that be I thought, the jelly baby stonehenge was duly constructed.
Just before I started this post I searched for a decent picture of Stonehenge, what a bummer – I found the picture above. My stonehenge was similar, the colours were a little different, the spacing probably not as accurate, the number of jelly babies a little off the mark – but the feeling of accomplishment was just as good! Right up until I found that bloody picture, then I realised just how small the “P” in my productivity was. This is just how the standard day in the office is going, you do some piece of work and immediately you finish it you find out that someone else has done it! Still I’ll have some time tomorrow, probably enough time to do the “Terracotta Army” from Jelly Beans this time!
