Lunch time in the canteen, what was on offer? Well if you were my female colleague then a double helping of stuffing was on offer – with the opening offer of “would you like stuffing?” and it was only lunch time! Now not being one to shy away from a bit of light hearted banter I was only too happy to take my place in the lunch queue, did I get the same – did I buggery! What was I offered I hear you ask, well I was offered seasoning – a double helping at that.
Still here we are a few days later, the job in hand is a system upgrade to the latest level of Solaris using live update. How are we getting on well not too bad, the question is will we finish the bottle of Whyte and Mackay before the upgrade completes or will we be unable to read the screen because we’ve completed one task before the other. At the moment it looks like the live update will complete first, but you can never tell!
Still if this one all goes to plan, we’ll have had a dry run for the M5000 work – although that one will require a firmware upgrade and that should really be done on site. Just in case there are any problems, as if it doesn’t come back up from that one there will be a performance of “The Headless Chicken Dance”.
